About Kepplegate House

We are Kepplegate House, a residential care home in Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire. We look after older people who are finding it difficult to manage at home, and we take respite bookings for shorter stays. We keep things deliberately homely. People bring their own belongings, keep their own routines and decide for themselves how their day goes. A lot of what makes life here pleasant is unremarkable: a proper breakfast, the newspaper, a walk out when the weather allows, company if you want it and peace if you do not, and somebody who has the time to sit down and listen properly. We also think a good home earns its place in its own town. Poulton is on the doorstep and we support people to keep up the connections they already have, whether that is a church, a club, the shops or family nearby. Moving in should not mean closing the door on all of that. Respite stays suit families who need a break, and they give someone a chance to see how the place feels before any longer decision is made. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would far rather show you the home than describe it, so please ring and arrange to visit, ideally at a normal busy time of day.
