About Willow Lodge
Willow Lodge is a residential care home in Accrington, Lancashire. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions and people with sight or hearing loss. Most of the people who live here are younger adults, and we also offer respite stays. We treat this as somebody's home rather than a setting they have been placed in, and that shows in the ordinary decisions. People choose what their rooms look like, what goes in the shopping, how a weekend is spent and who is part of it. Support is built around the individual and reviewed as they change, because confidence and ambition do not stand still. For autistic people, and for anybody who finds unpredictability hard, the environment is not a background detail. Noise, lighting, unfamiliar faces and changes of plan can shape a whole week, so we plan for them properly. Where somebody lives with a mental health condition, we work with community teams so that support stays consistent, and we meet a difficult period with patience rather than alarm. Where there is sight or hearing loss, we take care with how we announce ourselves, how we describe things and how we check that what we said has actually landed. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome.
