About L'Arche Gothic Lodge
Here at L'Arche London Gothic Lodge, we are a care home based in Lambeth, London, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities to live fulfilling lives as part of a genuine community. We offer residential care and respite care, welcoming people who need short term support as well as those who make their home with us long term. What matters most to us is that everyone who comes through our doors feels known, valued and free to be themselves. We do not think of care as something we simply deliver; we think of it as something we build together, day by day, between the people we support and the people who support them. L'Arche as a movement was founded on the belief that people with and without learning disabilities can share life meaningfully, and that spirit genuinely shapes how we work here in Lambeth. Our home is not set apart from the wider community; we actively encourage the people we support to engage with local life, pursue their own interests and form their own relationships. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which reflects the commitment of everyone in our team and the trust that the people we support and their families place in us. Our team takes time to understand each person as an individual, working alongside them and the people who know them best to shape the support they receive. We recognise that moving into a care home or trying respite care for the first time can feel like a big step, and we aim to make that process as straightforward and as human as possible. If you would like to find out more or come and see us, we would be very glad to hear from you.
