About Edenfield House
Edenfield House is a residential care home in the Knowsley area of Liverpool, supporting a varied group of people. We care for adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions and people with sight or hearing loss, including younger adults. That range works because our method stays the same. We spend time learning how a person communicates, what settles them, what unsettles them and what they want their day to contain, and we make sure the whole team understands those things in the same way. Consistency is what allows somebody to relax, and it is also what lets us notice early when something is wrong. The day here belongs to the people who live in the house. People get up when they are ready, spend their time on things they actually enjoy and keep their own belongings and routines around them. Where somebody wants more independence, we look for the everyday opportunities rather than talking about it in the abstract. Respite stays are available too, for people needing short term support and for families who need a rest. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. The better measure is whether people here seem at ease, so please come and see for yourself.
