About St Mungo's Broadway - 2 Hilldrop Road
We provide a residential home on Hilldrop Road in Islington for adults who need somewhere settled to live, including older people, younger adults, people living with mental health conditions and people whose difficulties have involved alcohol or drugs. A good many of the people who come to us have been without a settled home, or have lost one, and have met a great deal of judgement along the way. They will not meet it from us. What we try to offer first is stability: a room of your own with a door that locks, meals at reliable times, familiar staff and a place where somebody can be left in peace when that is what they need. From there, support is arranged around the individual. For some it centres on staying well: medication, appointments, keeping in touch with health services and having staff nearby who know them well enough to see difficulty coming. For others it is about doing more, whether that means work, study, volunteering, managing money with a hand from us, or rebuilding contact with family. We keep our team as settled as we can, because trust in this work is slow to build and quickly lost. Respite stays are available as well as longer places. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.
