About Park View Residential Home
Park View Residential Home is a residential care home in Watford, Hertfordshire. We support older people and younger adults, including people with a learning disability or autism and people living with mental health conditions, and we offer respite stays for those who need care for a shorter time. Supporting people of quite different ages under one roof only works if you plan for it. A younger adult building independence, keeping up work or college and wanting a social life needs something very different from an older person who wants a settled and quiet routine. We write care plans with each person individually and we do not expect anyone to fit a house pattern that was not designed around them. Staff here are asked to know people properly rather than simply to complete tasks. Knowing what someone's normal looks like is what allows you to notice when it changes, and it is the difference between reacting to a crisis and preventing one. Watford is home for most of the people who live with us, and we support them to stay part of it, keeping up family contact, appointments and the places they already know. We want to be open about our position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We accept that assessment and are working through the points raised. We would rather say so plainly and invite you to visit, meet the team and form your own judgement.
