About Nightingale House
Here at Nightingale House, we are a care home based in Romford, Havering, and we are proud to be part of this local community. We provide residential care, dementia care, and respite care, supporting individuals and their families through what can often be a significant time of change. We know that choosing a care home is not a decision anyone takes lightly. Whether someone is moving in with us permanently or staying for a shorter respite break, we want every person who comes through our doors to feel genuinely at home. We work hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar, and reassuring, where people can move through their days with as much independence and dignity as possible. Respite care is something we take just as seriously. For many families, knowing there is somewhere trustworthy to turn when a carer needs a break makes an enormous difference. We aim to make every short stay feel settled and unhurried, not a stopgap. Our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is good, which we are pleased about, though we see it as a marker along the way rather than a finishing line. We are always looking at how we can do better and listening to the people who live here and their families to help us get there.
