90 Capel Gardens is a residential care home in Pinner, in the London Borough of Harrow. We support autistic adults and adults with a learning disability, people living with dementia, those managing mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss, younger adults and older people, and we offer respite stays. Supporting that range under one roof is only possible if care is planned for the individual rather than the group. We spend real time getting to know somebody, write plans that describe the person rather than the category, and review them honestly as things change. What steadies one person here would unsettle another, and we would rather do the work of finding out than apply a single approach to everyone. We keep the staff team consistent, train people to recognise the early signs of distress and prevent them, and work closely with families, social workers and health colleagues. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Visitors and referrers are welcome to come and see the house.
