About The Poplars
Here at The Poplars, we are a care home based in Southampton, Hampshire, and we are proud to offer a warm and welcoming environment where the people in our care genuinely feel at home. We support a range of needs across our community, including older person care, residential care, learning disability and autism support, and respite care. This means we work with a wide variety of individuals, and we take the time to understand each person as an individual, getting to know their preferences, routines, and the things that matter most to them in daily life. Our team works hard to create an atmosphere that feels settled, friendly, and genuinely caring. We believe that good care comes from building real relationships, listening carefully, and being consistent. The people who live with us are at the centre of every decision we make, from how we plan day to day activities through to how we support health and personal care needs. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good. We see this as recognition of the effort our team puts in day after day, though we are always looking at how we can do things even better. For families who are exploring options for a loved one, we understand this can feel like an overwhelming process. We are always happy to have an honest conversation, answer questions, and arrange a visit so you can see the home for yourself and get a proper feel for the place. Whether someone is joining us for a short respite stay or moving in on a longer term basis, we aim to make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible. We would love to hear from you if you think The Poplars might be the right fit.
