About Avon Park Residential Home
Avon Park Residential Home provides residential care in Southampton for older people and for younger adults who need support with everyday living. We are a home first and a care setting second, and we work quite hard to keep it that way. The help we offer covers washing and dressing, medication, meals, mobility and the practical business of getting through a day when that has become difficult to manage alone. Beyond that, what people want from us varies enormously, so we ask rather than assume. Some people want a full day of company and activity. Others want to be left in peace with the radio on and a cup of tea brought through now and then. Both are perfectly reasonable requests and we treat them as such. Southampton is where most of the people living here have spent their lives, and keeping those threads going matters. Family and friends are welcome whenever they want to come, and we are happy for people to be taken out for the afternoon or for lunch. We offer respite stays as well as permanent places, which can cover a family holiday or a period of recovery after illness. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us if you would like to arrange a visit and have a proper look round.
