About The Royal
Here at The Royal in Gosport, Hampshire, we provide residential care for a wide range of people, and we take real pride in getting to know each person who comes through our doors. We support older adults, younger adults, and people living with learning disabilities or autism, as well as those with physical disabilities or visual and hearing impairments. We also offer respite care, which can make an enormous difference to families and carers who need a short break knowing their loved one is in safe, familiar hands. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the consistent effort our team puts in day to day. We do not take that for granted, and we are always looking at ways to improve the experience for everyone who lives with us. What we try to do above all else is create a home that actually feels like one. That means listening properly to residents, understanding their routines, their preferences, and what matters to them personally. Care is not one size fits all, and we work hard to make sure each person feels seen and respected rather than just looked after. Gosport is a close knit community and we feel very much part of it. We encourage connections with family, friends, and the wider area, because maintaining those relationships is so important to wellbeing. If you are considering The Royal for yourself or someone you care about, we would always encourage you to come and visit us. Seeing the home for yourself, meeting the team, and asking whatever questions you have is far more useful than anything we could put into words here. We are happy to talk things through at whatever pace suits you, with no pressure at all.
