About Samuel Close 1
Here at Samuel Close 1, we provide residential care for a wide range of people in the heart of Greenwich, London. Our home welcomes older adults, younger adults, and people living with learning disabilities or autism, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also offer respite care for those who need a short break from their usual arrangements, whether that is planned in advance or at short notice. We are proud that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as good, and we work hard every day to maintain and build on that standard. For us, that rating reflects something straightforward: people who live here are treated with genuine respect, their choices are listened to, and their individual needs shape how we support them rather than the other way around. Care looks different for every person who comes through our door. Someone moving in permanently will have very different priorities to someone joining us for a few weeks of respite, and we take the time to understand what matters most to each individual. Support plans are put together with the person themselves and, where helpful, with their family or those who know them well. Our team is experienced across all of our specialist areas, and we make sure staff have the right training and knowledge to support people with a variety of conditions and communication needs. We are based in Greenwich, so we also encourage and support residents to stay connected to their local community whenever that is something they would like. If you are considering Samuel Close 1 for yourself or someone you care about, we would always encourage you to come and visit us. A conversation in person gives a much better sense of who we are than any written description can, and you are very welcome to get in touch.
