About Homeleigh Residential Care Home
We are a residential care home in Greenwich supporting adults with a range of needs, including older people, younger adults, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people and people living with mental health conditions. The house is run as a household rather than a service. People living here have their own rooms and their own belongings and a real say in how the place works, from what is cooked to what happens at the weekend. For adults who have often had decisions taken on their behalf, that ordinary degree of control is central to what we are trying to do. Support is arranged around the individual. For some the priority is staying well and having staff nearby who know them well enough to notice when things are becoming difficult. For others it is about doing more: work, college, volunteering, managing money with a hand from us, or getting out regularly and keeping up with family. Where consistency matters, as it often does for autistic people, we keep staffing as settled as we can. Respite stays are available alongside longer places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We prefer to say so plainly. We are working through what the inspectors raised and are willing to go through the report with anyone considering the home. Please come and visit and meet the people who live here.
