About Homeleigh – Herbert House
At Homeleigh Herbert House, we offer residential care for a wide range of people who need support to live comfortably and with dignity. We are based in Greenwich, London, and we welcome older adults, younger adults, people living with a learning disability or autism, those experiencing mental health difficulties, and individuals with a physical disability. We also provide respite care for people who need a short term stay, whether to recover, to give family carers a break, or simply to have a change of environment with the right support around them. We understand that moving into a care home, even temporarily, is a significant step. Our aim is to make that transition as straightforward and as reassuring as possible. From the moment someone comes through our door, we want them to feel that this is a place where they belong and where their individual needs genuinely shape how we work. We take time to get to know each person properly. Their routines, their preferences, what matters to them on an ordinary day and what they hope for going forward. Care planning here is not a box ticking exercise. It is an ongoing conversation between our team, the people we support, and their families or advocates. Our setting is regulated by the Care Quality Commission. We are currently awaiting a formal CQC rating, and we welcome that scrutiny as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
