About Anahita Recovery Centre
Anahita Recovery Centre provides residential care in Greenwich for adults, including older people and younger adults, with particular experience of supporting people with mental health needs. We also offer planned respite stays. Recovery is not a tidy process and it does not run to a schedule, so we try to provide the sort of place where it has room to happen. That means a settled environment, staff who are consistent and unflustered, and support that is steady rather than intrusive. We help with personal care and medicines where that is needed, with meals and the running of the house, and with the practical business of appointments, letters, money and the many small things that become difficult when somebody is unwell. Just as importantly, we try to support people towards whatever they want their life to look like next. That might be rebuilding confidence, repairing contact with family, getting back to work, education or activities, or simply managing a day without it feeling like a struggle. We work at the person's pace, we do not make promises about timescales that nobody can keep, and we accept that trust takes a while to build when somebody has been let down before. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We ask the people living here what they make of us, and we would rather hear a complaint early than a polite silence.
