About Hilltop

Ours is a residential care home in Ruardean Hill supporting adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. It is a house rather than an institution, and the people who live here have their own rooms, their own things and a genuine say in how the week runs. Support is built around each person. For some that means help with personal care, cooking and looking after their own space. For others it is about getting out to work, college or the things they enjoy, managing money, and having somebody steady alongside in situations that would otherwise feel too much. We also support people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how the house is arranged and how we work so that people can do as much for themselves as possible. We pay close attention to how each person communicates and to what helps them feel settled, because getting those right prevents a great deal of avoidable distress. Respite stays are available, giving families a planned break and letting someone get used to us gradually. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep checking with the people who live here, in the ways that work for them, that they are happy with how things are. If you would like to visit, please get in touch and we will arrange a time.
