About Royal Court
We are a residential care home in Cheltenham, providing a home for older people who need support to get comfortably through the day. We try to keep the feel of a household rather than a facility, with people bringing their own furniture and belongings and carrying on with the things they enjoy. We help with personal care, mobility, meals and medication, and we care for people living with dementia. With dementia what helps is rarely complicated: familiar staff, routines that stay steady, and enough time that nothing has to be rushed. Staff who know somebody well will notice a change before it becomes a difficulty, and that is worth more than any amount of technique. Respite stays are available as well, whether to give a family carer a genuine break after a long stretch at home or to let somebody try the place for a short period before deciding on anything longer. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would much rather a resident or relative raised a concern while it was still small, so we ask often and we act on what we hear. Please do come and visit. Walking round, meeting the people who live and work here and having a cup of tea will tell you far more than anything on a page.
