About 3 Red Admiral Court
We are 3 Red Admiral Court in Gateshead, a small residential care home. We support older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Respite stays are available. Being a small house is deliberate. It means the people who live here are not managing a constant stream of unfamiliar staff, that routines can be genuinely individual rather than set by the demands of a large rota, and that we usually know without being told when somebody is having a difficult day. We start from what each person wants their week to look like and work back to the support that makes it possible. That might take in college or work, a regular swim, cooking their own meals, seeing family, or getting out locally. Where somebody finds noise or change hard, we keep to a predictable rhythm and prepare properly for anything out of the ordinary. Where access, equipment or communication need proper attention, they get it. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are used to detailed questions from families and commissioners and we welcome them. Please contact us if you would like to visit.
