About Hillside Lodge
Here at Hillside Lodge, we provide residential care for a range of people in the heart of Halstead, Essex. Our home supports older adults, younger adults, and individuals living with learning disabilities or autism, and we also offer respite care for those who need a shorter stay, whether that is to give a family carer a break or to help someone through a period of change. We are proud to have received a rating of "good" from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts into making sure people are safe, well supported, and treated with respect every single day. What we try to get right, above everything else, is making Hillside Lodge feel like a real home rather than an institution. That means listening carefully to the people who live here, learning what matters to them, and building their care around their lives rather than the other way around. We know that moving into a care home, or even coming for a short respite stay, can feel like a big step, so we work hard to make the transition as straightforward and as comfortable as possible for residents and their families alike. We welcome a genuinely varied group of residents, and we think that mix makes our community stronger. Whether someone has complex support needs relating to autism or a learning disability, or is an older person looking for a warm and supportive place to live, we tailor our approach to suit the individual. If you are considering Hillside Lodge for yourself or for someone you care about, we would always encourage you to come and visit us, have a look around, ask plenty of questions, and get a real feel for who we are. We are based in Halstead and are very happy to hear from you.
