About Waterfall House

Waterfall House is a residential care home in Enfield. We support adults with mental health needs, including younger adults, and we also offer respite stays for people who need a period of residential support. The purpose of this house is recovery and stability rather than simply accommodation. Everyone here has a plan they have worked out with us, covering what they want their life to include, what helps when things are difficult and what they would like us to do if they become unwell. Agreeing that in advance means nobody is trying to work it out in the middle of a crisis. Day to day, residents run their own lives as much as they are able and willing to. Cooking, managing money, keeping appointments, work, study, family contact and simply having somewhere settled to be. We are there to support those things rather than take them over, and where somebody wants to move on to more independent living we plan for it properly. Our team is consistent, which matters a great deal here. Knowing a person well is what allows you to spot an early change and respond gently rather than heavily. Anything that restricts a person's freedom is agreed properly, recorded and kept under review. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Professionals, families and prospective residents are welcome to visit and look round.
