Here at Woodcote, we are a residential care home nestled in the heart of Mayfield, East Sussex, and we are proud to call this corner of the High Weald our home. The village setting gives us a warmth and familiarity that we think makes a real difference to the people who live with us and the families who trust us with their care. We support adults with a range of needs, with particular experience in learning disabilities and autism. We also offer respite care, which gives individuals the chance to stay with us on a shorter term basis, whether that is to provide a break for family carers or simply to try something new. Whatever brings someone through our door, we aim to make sure they feel genuinely welcome and at ease from the very first day. We take the time to get to know each person properly, understanding not just their care needs but their routines, interests, and the things that matter most to them. Good care, in our view, is built on consistency and honest relationships, and we work hard to make sure the people living here feel respected and heard. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good. We see this as recognition of the everyday effort our team puts in, though we are always looking at how we can do better and improve the experience for everyone in our care.
