About St Anne's Community Services - Creykes Lodge
Creykes Lodge is a residential care home in Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire, supporting adults with a learning disability and adults who are autistic. We also offer respite stays. The people who live here are known as individuals, and support is planned person by person rather than around a house routine. The week belongs to the person, whether that means work, a course, volunteering, regular time with family, a favourite trip out or a settled routine that nobody interferes with. Our team learns how each person communicates, including those who do not use speech. That means paying attention to gesture, expression and behaviour, and being willing to be corrected when we have misread something. Where somebody becomes distressed, we work on the basis that there is a reason for it and that finding the reason is part of our job rather than an afterthought. People choose their own food, keep their own space and habits, and are supported to take on as much for themselves as they want to. Where somebody wants to build a skill, we expect it to take as long as it takes. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to look round or discuss a placement or a respite stay, please get in touch and we will arrange a time.
