About Grove Lodge
At Grove Lodge, we provide residential and dementia care for older people in the heart of Dorchester, Dorset. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether that is to recover after a period in hospital or to give a family carer some time to rest. We are proud to have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts in each day to make sure everyone living here feels safe, comfortable and genuinely at home. Care at Grove Lodge is personal. We take time to get to know each resident properly, their history, their preferences, the small things that matter to them, because we believe that good care starts with truly understanding the person in front of you. For those living with dementia, this matters even more. We work hard to create a calm, familiar environment where residents feel secure and where their dignity is always respected. Families are a really important part of life here. We welcome visits and encourage relatives to stay involved in their loved one's care. Moving into a care home is a big step for everyone, and we want the people closest to our residents to feel reassured and kept in the loop at every stage. Dorchester is a wonderful town and we make the most of being part of it. Whether that means getting out and about locally or welcoming the community in, we like to make sure life here feels connected and full rather than contained. If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone close to you, please do come and visit us. We are always happy to show people around and have an honest conversation about whether Grove Lodge might be the right fit.
