About Penhayes House
Here at Penhayes House, we offer residential care for people who need a little extra support to live well. Based in Exeter, Devon, we support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and younger adults who may be going through a particularly challenging period in their lives. We also offer respite care for those who need a short break from their usual living situation, or whose carers need some time to rest and recharge. We know that moving into a care home, even temporarily, is a big step. We try to make that transition as straightforward and as comfortable as possible by listening carefully to each person and understanding what matters most to them. Everyone who lives here is an individual, and we work hard to make sure that comes through in the way we support each person day to day. Our team takes the time to build genuine relationships with the people we support, as well as with their families and loved ones. We believe that good care is built on trust, consistency and honest communication. If something is working well, we will tell you. If something needs to change, we will talk it through together. We are pleased to hold a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the commitment of our whole team to providing care that is safe, effective and respectful. That said, we never see a good rating as a reason to stand still. We are always looking at how we can do things better and how we can continue to improve the lives of the people who call Penhayes House home. If you would like to find out more about what we offer or come and have a look around, we would love to hear from you.
