About Mr Warwick Phillips and Mrs Deborah Phillips - 14-15 St James Road
Here at 14-15 St James Road in Exeter, Devon, we provide residential care for adults in a setting that feels genuinely like home. We are a care home run by Warwick and Deborah Phillips, and between us we have built a place where people are treated as individuals, not as a list of needs to be managed. We support a range of people whose circumstances can sometimes be complex. Alongside general residential care, we have real experience working with younger adults, people living with mental health conditions, those affected by eating disorders, and individuals working through alcohol or drug misuse. We also offer respite care, which can make a significant difference to both the person staying with us and the family members or carers who support them day to day. Our approach is straightforward. We get to know each person properly, understand what matters to them, and make sure their care reflects that. The people we support are not all the same, and we do not treat them as though they are. Some come to us at very difficult points in their lives, and we take that seriously. We aim to provide consistency, genuine warmth, and an environment where people feel safe enough to begin moving forward. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of good, and we work hard to maintain and build on that standard every day. If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone close to you, we would encourage you to come and see us in person. A conversation costs nothing, and we would much rather you got a proper feel for who we are than simply read about us. We are happy to answer any questions openly and honestly.
