About Ferncroft
Here at Ferncroft, we are a residential care home based in Purley, Croydon, and we are proud to support the people who live with us every single day. Our home specialises in residential care, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, and providing respite care for those who need a short break from their usual routine or whose families need some time to rest and recharge. We understand that each person who comes through our doors has their own story, their own preferences, and their own way of seeing the world, and we work hard to make sure that is always respected and valued. For those we support with learning disabilities and autism, we know how important consistency, familiarity, and genuine understanding are. We take the time to get to know each individual properly, learning what makes them feel safe, comfortable, and happy, so that the care we provide feels personal rather than routine. Our respite care offers families and carers the reassurance that their loved one is in a warm, attentive environment when they need a short stay with us. Whether it is a planned break or something arranged at shorter notice, we aim to make every stay as smooth and settled as possible. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us as good, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts into maintaining a home where people feel genuinely cared for and not just looked after. Purley is a lovely part of Croydon and we feel fortunate to be rooted in this community. If you would like to find out more about life at Ferncroft or want to discuss whether we might be the right fit for someone you care about, please do get in touch. We are always happy to have a conversation.
