Here at Cheshire East Short Breaks, we provide residential care for people with learning disabilities and autism in the heart of Macclesfield. We specialise in short break and respite care, offering individuals and their families a chance to take a well earned rest while knowing their loved one is somewhere safe, comfortable and genuinely welcoming. We understand that choosing a short break placement is a big decision. Families often tell us that handing over care, even temporarily, can feel daunting. That is why we put so much thought into how we welcome each person who comes through our doors. We take time to get to know individuals before they arrive, understanding their routines, preferences and communication needs, so that from day one they feel at ease rather than unsettled. Our team works hard to make every stay feel as homely and enjoyable as possible. Whether someone is with us for a weekend or a longer period, we want their time here to be positive and meaningful, not simply a placeholder until they return home. We plan activities and experiences around the interests of the people staying with us, and we stay in close contact with families throughout so everyone feels informed and reassured. We are proud that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in day to day. We do not take that rating for granted and we continue to look at how we can improve and grow. We are based in Macclesfield and are part of the wider Cheshire East community.
