About Park Mount Care Home
We are Park Mount Care Home, a residential care home in Macclesfield, Cheshire East, supporting older people who need help with everyday living. We think of this as somebody's home rather than as a facility, and that shapes the small decisions as much as the large ones, from how people are greeted in the morning to whether they have a real say in what is on the menu. Everyone here keeps their own room, their own belongings and as much of their own routine as they wish. Some people enjoy company and the busier parts of the day, others prefer quiet and their own space, and neither choice needs explaining. Help with washing, dressing, medication and getting about is given at the person's pace and as discreetly as possible, because being supported should not mean being hurried. We also provide respite stays. A short planned stay gives a family carer a genuine break, or helps somebody rebuild confidence after a spell in hospital before returning home, and we prepare for those visits properly rather than treating them as filling a spare room. Being in Macclesfield means the town and the countryside around it are easy to get out into for those who enjoy a trip. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us good overall, and we treat that as a standard to keep meeting rather than a finish line. Relatives and friends are welcome, and we would far rather hear a concern early than have it go unsaid. Please come and visit us if you are considering a home locally.
