We are a residential setting in Congleton providing care and accommodation for younger adults, including people with mental health needs, and we also offer respite stays. The young people and adults we support have often had a difficult time before coming to us, whether through disrupted education, unsettled placements or mental health difficulties that were not well understood. What helps is a place where the routines are predictable, the expectations are clear and the staff do not disappear when things get hard. Our support covers personal care where it is needed, medicines, appointments, meals, and the everyday skills that make independence possible in time. We work closely with families, social workers, education staff and mental health teams, and we take part in reviews as an active voice for the person rather than as a formality. Where somebody is struggling, we look for the reason behind it rather than treating the behaviour as the whole story. Alongside this, we want people to have lives they enjoy. That means activities, interests, friendships and time out in the local area, chosen by the person rather than arranged for their convenience or ours. Respite stays are available and are planned properly, with time spent getting to know someone before they arrive. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Families and placing authorities are welcome to visit, meet our team and ask us searching questions before making any decision.
