About Woodland House
Here at Woodland House, we are a residential care home based in Milton Keynes, Central Bedfordshire, and we are genuinely proud of the community we have built here. We support adults with learning disabilities and autism, with a particular focus on younger adults who deserve a home that feels exactly that — a real home, not just a place to stay. We offer both long term residential care and respite care, which means we are able to support people at different stages and in different circumstances. Whether someone is joining us permanently or staying for a shorter period to give their family or carers a break, we approach every individual with the same level of thought and attention. Respite care is something we take seriously, because we understand how much it matters to families that their loved one is somewhere they feel comfortable and genuinely looked after. Our team knows the people we support really well. That familiarity is something we work hard to build and maintain, because consistency matters enormously when you are supporting someone with a learning disability or autism. Routines, trust and communication are at the heart of how we work day to day. We are proud that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Outstanding. That recognition means a great deal to us, not because of what it says on paper, but because it reflects the effort our staff put in every single day and the positive lives our residents are able to lead here.
