About Curo Care Valley View
We are Curo Care at Valley View in Halifax, a residential care home supporting older people and younger adults. What we provide is residential care rather than nursing care, and we are straightforward with families about the difference from the first conversation. Within it we help with washing, dressing and moving about safely, support people with their medication, provide proper meals, and make sure nobody is left alone all day unless that is what they prefer. We have tried hard to keep the place feeling like somewhere people live. Residents bring their own furniture and pictures, get up when they wake rather than when a schedule says so, and spend their time as they choose. Some want company from morning to night, others prefer their own room, and both are perfectly reasonable. Our staff stay long enough to know people properly, which is how you notice that somebody is quieter than usual or off their food before it turns into something more serious. We keep families informed and would far rather ring with a small concern early than a large one later. Visitors are welcome whenever they want to come. We offer respite stays alongside permanent places, which suits family carers needing a break and people building their strength back after hospital. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to arrange a look round.
