About Greene House
Greene House is a residential care home in Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire. We support older people and younger adults, including adults with a learning disability or autism and people with physical disabilities, and we offer respite stays as well as permanent places. Supporting people of quite different ages and needs in one house takes thought, and we plan individually rather than running everybody to the same pattern. What an adult in their thirties wants from a week is not what somebody in their eighties wants, and both should be possible here. People have their own rooms and their own things, and they decide how their day goes. Our staff help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and moving about, and they do it in a way that leaves people their privacy. Where somebody wants to cook, shop, travel or keep up a job or a course, our job is to support that rather than to do it for them. We pay attention to how each person communicates. Where somebody does not use speech we learn their way of telling us things and record it so that everyone supports them consistently. Families are welcome here without appointment, and we would always rather raise a concern with relatives early than let it sit. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering a place, please visit, meet the team and talk to the people who already live here.
