About Heights Care Home
Beaconsfield Heights Care Home provides residential care in Beaconsfield for older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, and we offer respite and short stays. We aim for the feel of a substantial family house rather than an institution. Residents furnish their rooms with their own things, keep the routines they have always had and decide for themselves how much they want to join in. Nobody is marched to an activity here. When somebody moves in we spend real time on their history and their preferences, from what time they wake and how they take their tea to what work they did and what matters to them. All of it goes into their plan and all of it shapes how our staff approach them. Dementia care rests on consistency. The same faces, the same rhythm to the day, no hurrying, and genuine attention to what settles an individual, because that is rarely the same for two people. We make time for families as well, who often find this stage harder than the person living through it. Our kitchen cooks from scratch and residents have a say in the menu. Visitors are welcome through the day and can stay for a meal if the kitchen knows in advance. We keep close contact with local GPs and district nurses. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see the home for yourself.
