About St Mungo's Broadway - 53 Chichester Road
Our home on Chichester Road in Brent provides residential care for older people and younger adults, including people dealing with alcohol or drug misuse. We take people as they are. Many of those who come to live here have had periods of homelessness, ill health or difficulty with alcohol or drugs, and have been through services that asked them to be somebody else before they could be helped. That is not how we work. We offer a settled place to live, practical support and staff who do not judge, and we build from there. Everybody has their own room and their own routine. Staff are here at all hours to help with practical matters, with prompting and support around medication, and with getting through a day when that has become hard. We work with the health and social care professionals involved so that support is joined up. Much of what we do is ordinary, because ordinary things are what rebuild a life. Cooking, looking after your own space, managing money, keeping appointments and getting out locally are things we do alongside people rather than for them, and a setback is not a reason to give up on somebody. If you are looking for a placement, please contact us.
