About Princes Lodge

Princes Lodge is a residential care home in Brent supporting adults living with mental health conditions, including younger adults who are working towards greater independence. What we offer is stability. Most of the people who come to live here have had a period in which very little has been settled, and the first thing we try to provide is a place where the days are predictable, the staff are familiar and nothing is going to change without warning. Everybody has their own room and their own routine. Staff are here at all hours to help with practical matters, to prompt and support with medication, and to talk when talking is what is needed. We work closely with the mental health professionals involved in each person's care so that the approach is consistent rather than pulled in different directions. A great deal of what we do is ordinary. Cooking, shopping, looking after your own room, managing money, keeping appointments and getting out into London are all things we do alongside people rather than for them. Recovery is not a straight line and a difficult week is not a failure. Respite stays can be arranged where appropriate. If you are looking for a placement for yourself or somebody you support, please contact us and come and see us.
