About Emm Lane Care Home
We are a residential care home in Bradford, supporting older people and younger adults who need care and somewhere settled to live. Among those living here are adults with a learning disability or autism, people managing a mental health condition and people with physical disabilities. We plan support with each person rather than for them. Some want as much independence as they can manage and use our help only for the difficult parts. Others need a good deal of support through the day and the night. In both cases we try to be led by the person, and we make sure staff know how somebody prefers to be helped before they start helping. A care home is only as good as its ordinary days, so that is where we put our effort. Meals people actually want, a routine that belongs to the person rather than to the building, time to talk, and staff who stay long enough to know everybody properly. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit, and we are glad when they get involved. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated the home Good. If you would like to look round, please get in touch and we will arrange it.
