About Stour Road Care Home
Here at Stour Road Care Home, we are proud to be part of the Christchurch community, offering a warm and supportive home for the people who come to live with us. We sit within the wider Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area, which means our residents can enjoy a real sense of place, with familiar surroundings and connections to the local community they may have known for many years. We provide residential care and older person care as our foundation, and we also support people living with dementia, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We welcome younger adults too, and we offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether to recover after a period of ill health or to give family carers some time to rest. Our approach is straightforward. We get to know each person properly, understanding their routines, preferences, and what matters most to them in daily life. Care is not something we do to people here; it is something we work through together with residents and their families, adjusting as needs change over time. We think that makes a real difference to how settled and valued people feel from the moment they arrive. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good across our overall rating. That reflects the effort our whole team puts in day to day, and it gives families some reassurance when they are making what can be a very difficult decision. If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone you love, we would always encourage you to come and visit us in person. A conversation over a cup of tea tells you far more than any website can, and you are very welcome to get in touch at any time.
