About Community Living & Support Services
We are a residential care home in Moseley, Birmingham, supporting adults living with learning disabilities and autism, adults managing mental health conditions and adults with a visual or hearing impairment. It is a house, and we try to run it like one. The people who live here have a genuine say in the ordinary things, from what gets cooked to how the shared rooms are arranged and who comes to visit. Staff know everybody properly rather than knowing a file about them, and the week is shaped around individuals rather than a rota. We support people to do as much for themselves as they want and are able to, whether that means cooking, shopping, handling money, getting around Birmingham independently, or keeping up with college, work and friendships. Communication is planned around each person, adapted where sight or hearing is affected, since being properly understood is the foundation everything else rests on. Respite stays are available for short periods of support or to give a family carer a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and visitors are welcome.
