Len Burgess
Senior Care Advisor
Len Burgess has spent over five and a half years working inside the care sector, across both residential and nursing settings. That work has meant getting to grips with the realities most families never see: how care is actually delivered day to day, how homes are run, how compliance works, and crucially, how the money flows. From local authority funding and means testing to NHS Continuing Healthcare and the financial pressures on families and providers alike, Len has seen first-hand how confusing and high-stakes the system can be. This Jargon Buster series is the result: an effort to take what is genuinely understood from the inside of the sector and explain it in plain English, so families can make informed decisions at one of the hardest times in their lives.
