About Lavender Court
Lavender Court is a nursing home in Wolverhampton, with registered nurses on duty around the clock alongside our care team. We look after older people and younger adults with nursing needs, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with loss of sight or hearing, and people living with mental health conditions. The nursing covers management of long term conditions, wound and skin care, continence support, help where eating and swallowing have become difficult, and careful oversight of medication. We work closely with local GPs, district nurses, dietitians and therapists, and we involve families in decisions about treatment rather than presenting them with conclusions already reached. Alongside that we work at keeping the day from becoming clinical. People here have long lives behind them and should not spend the rest of their time being processed. That means time for conversation and visitors welcomed whenever they come. For people living with dementia and for those with sensory loss we keep the routine steady and adapt how we communicate. Respite stays are available. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
