About Geocare Services
Geocare provides care and support in people's own homes across Wolverhampton. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and people with loss of sight or hearing. Our task is to make home a workable place to stay when daily life has become hard to manage alone. The help covers washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals and seeing they are eaten, shopping, laundry, getting out to appointments, and the general running of a household. For a good many of the people we visit, the conversation is as important as anything on the task list. We think carefully about who goes where. Being helped to wash is an intimate business and it is easier when the person helping is somebody you know, so we keep the same small teams with the same households as far as the rota allows. A regular carer also notices the untouched food or the new unsteadiness long before anyone else would.
