About Thorn Park Care Home
Thorn Park Care Home provides residential care in Plymouth for older people and for younger adults who need support with everyday living. We offer permanent places and shorter respite stays. The help we give covers washing and dressing, medication, meals cooked here, mobility and the practical business of getting through a day when that has become hard to manage alone. Beyond that, what people want from us varies a great deal, so we ask rather than assume. Some people want a full day of company and things to do. Others want to be left in peace with a book and a cup of tea brought through now and then. Both are perfectly reasonable and we treat them as such. Plymouth is where most of the people living here have spent their lives, and keeping those threads going matters. Family and friends are welcome whenever they want to come, and we are glad for people to be taken out for the afternoon or for lunch. Respite stays can cover a family holiday or a period of recovery after illness. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us if you would like to arrange a visit and have a proper look round.
